9th Annual Friends Photo Contest

Best Of Show
(Public vote)

The public picked Manley Dahler’s egret spearing a fish as the Best of Show in the 2006-2007 Friends of the Upper Mississippi River Refuges photo contest. The photo contest traveled to many venues over the past year and the public was able to vote on their favorite photo. Dahler’s egret received 601 of the 2,167 votes.

Friends Scholarships Available for Training

The Friends of the National Conservation Training Center (NCTC) has received a grant from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation to pay tuition, room and board for refuge Friends group members and/or volunteers who wish to attend NCTC training courses.
